  • The mission of the AQM is to:

    • Disseminate information on the practice of music therapy and the clinical and ethical standards that govern it
    • Consolidateand inform music therapists, interns, students, individuals and organizations interested in music therapy
    • Promote the development of music therapy services in schools, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, communities and other settings
    • Support the accreditation process of interns and the continuing education of accredited music therapists by offering them further training
    • Foster research in music therapy

The Association québécoise de musicothérapie (AQM, Quebec Association for Music Therapy) is a provincial chapter of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT) . AQM is a non-profit association that serves as an organizational agency for music therapists, music therapy interns and students, and individuals and organizations interested in music therapy.

AQM is a growing association with many working committees, all dedicated towards providing the public with accurate and current information on music therapy practice and research, as well as on the government recognition of the music therapy profession.
